In support of our Fitch High School mission, the school has adopted a one-to-one Chromebook initiative. All Fitch students have the option of receiving a school issued Chromebook. The 1-1 Chromebook initiative supports Fitch’s mission by:-Providing instruction in and practice with online learning tools which prepare students for college and career.-Promoting the digital literacy skills which are required for life success and life-long learning.-Allowing more opportunities for real world learning experiences through the use of the Internet for access to resources, primary sources, and community engagement experiences.-Fostering home collaboration through the use of a learning management system(LMS) which allows for assignments, rubrics, and class activities to be viewed by students and their parents and accessable anywhere and anytime.-Personalizing instruction by differentiating product, process and assessment through the use of an LMS.-Maintaining and increasing rigorous instruction through the use of digital tools.-Increasing student engagement, student responsibility, and student learning time through the use of an LMS.
All incoming students may choose to accept a school issued device(Chromebook) to support their learning for home and school use or for just school use. Alternatively, he/she may bring a personal device to school to use. Students choosing to bring their own device, should note the school is not liable for loss, damage or theft.Students may opt in to the program at any time. A signed loan agreement along with payment of fee must be submitted to Fitch's office. (Fee waivers are available.) You may also sign off on the agreement electronically and pay the fee via https://mypaymentsplus.com/the same system used for food services.Should you have any difficulty with your Chromebook, please visit the media center.
