• Our Focus:  The focus of this class will be to educate you on weight training program design, implementation and assessment.  You will be taught a variety of methods of program design, goals setting and assessment. 

     

    Your Focus:  Your focus will to become an autonomous learner.  Given the information presented in class and my personal guidance, you will be expected to design a well thought out and personal program with measurable goals.  You will be expected to diligently apply yourself to meeting your goals, thoughtfully assess your progress, and gain as much knowledge for future reference as possible.  You should take advantage of all the tools given to you throughout this class.  You should focus on creating a safe, productive, and mutually respectful learning environment for yourself and your classmates.

    Grading

    Quarter Grades:

    I.  Daily Participation Points 90%

    22 classes per quarter x 5 maximum points per day = 110 class points

    II.  Unit Quizzes 5%

    III.  Quarterly Assignments-5%  training logs, self and peer evaluations

    1st Quarter Grade = 40%

    2nd Quarter Grade = 40%

    Final Exam = 20%*
