Tuesday, June 6th is Field Day! (Rain date - Wednesday, June 7th.) It is your son/daughter's day to demonstrate his/her growth in self-confidence, self-esteem, and skill development. Parents who plan on joining us for all or part of the day are asked to sign in in the office for a Visitor’s Pass!
On the afternoon of June 8th the 4th and 5th graders will participate in a tournament in which student teams earn points by answering questions about the 10 Nutmeg books they have been reading all year. We hope our students have enjoyed reading good books, sharachers, and enjoy a fun day of playing in the "Battle.” May the best team win!!
I am so happy to announce that Ms. Popp received a grant for the Intermediate Nutmeg books. These books have already started to be checked out at the PV Library by the fourth and fifth graders. They will participate in a BATTLE OF THE BOOKS this spring. Ms. Johnson, PV's librarian, says they are all fantastic books! Get ready to battle!
Math Master status is earned by completing 100 facts in 6 minutes with 100% accuracy. After completion of any one test a student receives a certificate and is honored at the monthly assembly! Look for an invitation for this month's celebration on Friday, May 26th at 2:30 PM!
