Welcome to Dr. Charles Barnum Elementary School. Our school serves approximately 425 students from Pre-School through Grade 5, many of whom are U.S. military dependents. The primary goal at Dr. Charles Barnum is to increase student achievement while providing a warm, nurturing environment where learning is challenging and students are motivated to learn. We also promote a positive school climate through a variety of student-centered character building activities.
Dr. Charles Barnum prides itself as being a family friendly school. We have a number of activities and celebrations throughout the year that involve our students and their families. Home/school communication is valued and encouraged. We are fortunate to have a strong volunteer program. Parents, community members and Navy personnel donate hundreds of hours each year volunteering throughout the school. Our P.T.O. is actively involved in supporting and improving our school.
We are proud of what we achieve at Dr. Charles Barnum and we refuse to become complacent or satisfied with the status quo. We continually look for ways to achieve our goal of doing what is best for children. Our school motto and logo, C.B. T.E.A.M., illustrates our committment to involving students, parents, teachers and staff in the educational process.
