The MM School Improvement Team SIT is composed of administrators, teachers, non-instructional staff, parents and community representatives. The primary purpose of the SIT is to help improve student performance/ achievement. SIT activities are designed to improve the quality of the education process by identifying areas or programs within the schools which need reform, revision, or stimulation. The MM SIT continues to work on the School/Family/Community Partnership program. The SIT will focus on six areas of partnership: parenting, communication, volunteering, learning at home, decision making and community collaboration. Research indicates when students know their families and the community are involved in their education, student performance increases. Our climate goal is to create a more welcoming environment. Our academic goal involves developing oral language and vocabulary to improve reading comprehension.

Meetings are held regularly and minutes are posted on the parent bulletin board. Notice of meetings are posted on Channel 19.
