Eat tactically to sustain long-term weight loss.

Methods that may be more successful in later
life for weight loss include consuming fewer
fried foods, desserts and sugar-sweetened
drinks, and going out to eat less often.  A
study published in the September 2012 issue
of the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition
and Dietetics found that postmenopausal
women who weighed less after four years
ate
fewer desserts and consumed fewer sugary
drinks.  Overall, less meat and cheese, and
more fruit, vegetables and fish were additional
important predictors of long-term weight loss.
