Services The Groton Public Schools Office of Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for the development and implementation of curricula in all subject areas. Curriculum revision which takes place on a rotating basis is carried out by teachers in their appropriate disciplines. All curriculum writing is based on national standards and CT curriculum frameworks. The Office of Curriculum and Instruction is also responsible for the professional development program for all certified staff. The GPS has adopted the Making Standards Work initiative for the purpose of increased student achievement.
