Butler Elementary serves approximately 350 students from Pre-School through Grade 5. The mission of S. B. Butler Elementary School is to promote the academic, emotional and social growth of each member within its community, and to encourage life-long learning. We believe that all individuals have worth and everyone's individuality should be respected and valued.
Butler Elementary School prides itself as a family friendly school. Throughout the school year we will be providing programming that involves our students and their families. We understand that home/school communication is of primary importance and we very much value your input and suggestions. Butler enjoys a strong volunteer program. We are thrilled to say that last year, over 90% of our parents volunteered in one form or another during the school year. Parents, grandparents, guardians and community members donate thousands of hours each year, volunteering in every corner of the building. We are very fortunate to enjoy a healthy and active P.T.O. that is highly involved in supporting our efforts.
Please take some time to look over both th S. B. Butler and Groton Public Schools' websites. They are constantly changing so please stop by frequently. We are very proud of what we do and we hope it shows!
