The Northeast Academy Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
The PTO's purpose is to support the academic programs, strive to enrich each students experience, and facilitate and enhance communications to parents and teachers. Funds raised are used to fund classroom field trips, provide teachers with funds for their classrooms, as well as fund special events.
We meet monthly and openly discuss the issues facing our children and further discuss ways of making their learning experiences better. We hope to include many parents and caregivers in our discussions as this provides us with the best way of addressing the majority of our students' needs. Please consider this an open invitation for you, as a Northeast Academy student's caregiver, to attend our monthly meetings.
Northeast Academy PTO By-Laws:
One of the ways the PTO helps our students and their caregivers is to organize and sponsor several social events throughout the school year. These are chances for you and your children to meet and mingle with others in the Northeast Academy community while having fun.
The PTO (and the school) relies on volunteers to help with our childrens activities, events and with fundraising campaigns. We are currently in need of individuals for several committees as well as our events and fundraising.
