Here we are in February already.  For those of you that have children in the upper grades that means that CMTs are around the corner.  It is extremely important that we do everything we can to give the children the very best opportunity to demonstrate all that they have learned.  Here at school we encourage the students, review strategies and techniques and help them polish the skills they have been working on all year.

 

At home you can do your part by making sure that your child completes their homework, asks questions in school and is rested and fed before they arrive each day.  While this can be a stressful time for the students, we do everything we can to encourage the students and celebrate every one of their successes.

 

If you have any questions at all or if your child shares any concerns regarding testing please do not hesitate to call their teacher or anyone in the office.  As always we look forward to continuing to be a partner in your child's educational journey.

Wow!  November is almost over already.  It is amazing to me how fast the year can slip by if you are not watching.  We have had some amazing events here at MM this year.  We have celebrated Veteran's Day and Mary Morrisson's birthday.  We have had fall festivals and many other celebrations.  Soon the winter concerts will be upon us.  Report cards are coming as well.  See what I mean by time speeding by. 

 

Even though we have been in school for quite some time now I am still amazed by the excitement and energy of our students.  As I walk through and visit classes I see the students focused, excited and asking thoughtful questions.  It is so wonderful to see our students willing and ready to learn.

Hello one and all.  The first few weeks have passed and I am beginning to settle in.  I though now would be a great time to begin my blog for the year.  I am hoping this will serve two purposes. First as a place for any and all of you to share thoughts and discussions regarding questions you may have about me or Mary Morrisson.  I also think this will be a great way to document my time at good ol' MM.  I want to thank all of you for offering such a warm welcome to me.  As many of our MM students and families know, transitioning into a new school can be difficult but the warm welcome I have received has made my move wonderful.  I look forward to hearing from many of you throughout the year.  Please feel free to share your thoughts here.  You may also call or email me anytime!
