We are told since we are told that our country is great because it is based upon the concept of freedom of speech and religion.  Is total freedom of religion a good thing?  What are the positives of freedom of religion?  What are the negatives?  How does this apply to the Salem witch trials?

Think of a time in your life, or the life of someone you know, that you have had to make a sacrifice for the good of someone else.  It could be as simple as not going out with friends so you could attend a younger sibling's ballgame or recital.  Briefly explain the sacrifice you made then discuss how that sacrifice made you feel.  Were you upset by it?  Gratified in the long run?  Would you make the same sacrifice again?

  • Eng 10 Pre-emptive strike

    Posted by:
A pre-emptive military strike is an attack on one country or force by another with the intention of preventing that force from carrying out future violence.  For example, if the United States believed that another country was planning on bombing it, we might send our air-force or navy in to attack that country's military instilations in the hopes of crippling their military and thus stopping an attack on Americans.  Do you believe that countries have the right to use pre-emptive force? When is it o.k. to use such a tactic?  Is it alright for people to use pre-emptive force in personal situations, such as when they believe they are in danger?

How would you define the word home?  What makes a home?  Is there more than one place you would call home?
