CLAUDE CHESTER PARENT-TEACHER ORGANIZATION (PTO) WELCOMES YOU!
The PTO's purpose is to support academic programs, enrich student learning, and enhance communications between parents and the school community. Fundraising plays a big part of the PTO calendar. Funds raised are used to support classroom field trips, provide classroom supplies and equipment, supply student incentives, and support enrichment programs.
MEMBERSHIP: All parents/guardians of Claude Chester students are members of the PTO. There are no membership fees or forms to complete. Claude Chester staff members are also members and a vital part of the parent-school partnership.
MEETINGS: We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the school Media Center. Our agenda includes discussions on current school events and activities, educational program updates, community concerns, and fundraising activities. Childcare is provided at each meeting and we encourage all parents/guardians to participate and share their ideas.
ONGOING ACTIVITIES: Collections such as Campbell’s Soup Labels and Box Tops for Education are two of the ongoing programs at Claude Chester that provide additional monetary supports to student programs. Labels and points can be clipped and sent to Claude Chester School at anytime during the school year. Click here to see a detailed list of products that have collectable points on them. Do you buy grocries locally? If you do then sign-up with the local stores to help us earn extra points, dollars, and credits to support the school. Click here for a complete list of stores and instructions.
VOLUNTEERING: Both the PTO and our school rely on volunteers to help with student activities, classroom events and with fundraising campaigns. We are currently in need of individuals for several events and fundraising tasks (see flyer for more details.) Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator if you can help or would like to know more about volunteer opportunities at Claude Chester.
